Committee of Supply 2026 debate, Day 4: Diana Pang on flexible work arrangements, supporting workers and inclusive workplace
In parliament on Tuesday (Mar 3), MP Diana Pang expressed her support for the Tripartite Guidelines on Flexible Work Arrangement Requests but asked that the Ministry of Manpower “recognise a simple ground reality” - not all employers, especially small- and medium-sized enterprises, have the capacity, manpower or human resource expertise to implement this formal workflow effectively, and real operational challenges remain. She also spoke on the importance of building a safe, inclusive and fair workplace for employment of people with disabilities, women and caregivers.
