In the age of AI, entire jobs and industries are being disrupted and old patterns of career stability no longer apply, said MP Gho Sze Kee in parliament on Tuesday (Mar 3). She said there is a critical need for Singapore to refresh its career and employment services ecosystem, striking a new compact among stakeholders. Ms Gho identified three elements - the workforce taking personal charge of their own career health, employers taking greater ownership of employees’ career health, and the government having a central, overarching role.
