03:09 Min

The vision of a car-lite Singapore must require a seamless and sheltered first- and last-mile experience for every Singaporean, including those living in condominiums, said MP Dennis Tan. In parliament on Wednesday (Mar 4), he asked if the authorities can mandate at the planning permission stage that condominium developers provide sheltered connectivity to the nearest public transport nodes. He also suggested that the government assign a lead agency for connectivity, providing Management Corporate Strata Titles (MCSTs) a “one-stop shop” for approvals and funding.
