There is an expectation that the additional withdrawal limits that allow CPF members to use more of their MediSave monies to service their Integrated Shield Plan premiums are in need of a revision, said MP Pritam Singh in parliament on Wednesday (Mar 4). He also wanted to know if the Ministry of Health plans to review this in the immediate term. On healthcare manpower, he noted that with the projected 20 per cent increase in the healthcare workforce from 2024 to 2030, it begs the question of how much allowance or buffer is being factored into the healthcare system, including in the event of “Disease X-type scenarios”.
