03:38 Min

In parliament on Wednesday (Mar 4), MP Valerie Lee raised the issue of bus connectivity in Flora Estate in Pasir Ris-Changi GRC which is served by two bus services “with relatively low frequency”. She asked if the Ministry of Transport (MOT) could move beyond relying heavily on retrospective ridership data when refining bus service plans, and urged MOT to survey residents directly and leverage community feedback to unlock real rider demand. Ms Lee also noted that beyond efficiency, road safety is a concern, highlighting that 13 accidents were recorded between 2023 and 2024 at the junction of Loyang Avenue and Old Tampines Road.
