05:11 Min

In parliament on Thursday (Mar 5), MP Denise Phua thanked the government for appointing the Taskforce on Assurance for Families with Persons with Disabilities, noting its timely arrival. She said that while Singapore already has a strong national roadmap in the Enabling Master Plan 2030, which sets out a vision for a more caring and inclusive Singapore, there are pressing key concerns of families, particularly about adult life after school. She highlighted four “persistent gaps” that the taskforce should address decisively, including funding reform based on a lifespan approach.
