Committee of Supply 2026 debate, Day 6: Diana Pang on protecting children and co-parenting

Divorce is not merely the end of a marriage; for many families, it is a beginning of a long co-parenting journey, said MP Diana Pang. Speaking in parliament on Thursday (Mar 5), she highlighted the need to do more to achieve better co-parenting, less conflict and better outcomes for children. One area concerns higher conflict divorce cases. Ms Pang stressed the need to ensure that children are not left to bear the consequences of time delay in cases where contact is abruptly cut off.
