The SG Culture Pass covers a wide spectrum of activities and it would be wonderful if it could nudge Singaporeans into new areas of interest, said NMP Terence Ho. Assuming there will be regular top-ups to the Pass, he suggested offering first-timer discounts or bonus credit when a person spends Culture Pass credits in a new category they have not previously used. In parliament on Thursday (Mar 5), Assoc Prof Ho also urged greater government support for local bookstores and publishers, to strengthen the literary infrastructure and ecosystem in Singapore.
