Counting underway in Nepal’s first poll since September 2025 unrest toppled government
Vote counting is underway in Nepal. The country is choosing a new parliament. This is the first general election since deadly protests toppled the government of then Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli last September. About 19 million people are eligible to vote.
