Don Wee on SkillsFuture Singapore Agency and Skills Development Levy amendment bills
Can the MySkillsFuture portal be made simpler so that the public can easily check for accredited training providers? Do SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG) inspectors contact trainees to check on their learning outcomes, or conduct random checks on training providers to deter false representation - for instance, of passing rates? How many suspension notices have been issued against errant training operators so far; and in future, can those found guilty of fraud or misrepresentation be blacklisted and barred from setting up or financing other training operators for a minimum period of time? These were some of the questions raised by MP Don Wee in Parliament on Tuesday (Jan 10).
