Easier access to financial help for foster youth who can't reunify with families
Some young people leaving foster care or a children's home will have easier access to financial help. This will help youth cover housing and daily expenses until they graduate from higher education and secure full-time work. Caseworkers will also provide mentorship and advice to help them live independently. Three children's homes will offer this service for a start. The Ministry of Social and Family Development is enhancing support for foster youth aged 17 to 21 who are unable to reunify with their families. Muhammad Bahajjaj with the reporting.
