End-of-life care set to be included in national home hospitalisation programme
End-of-life care is set to be included in a national home hospitalisation programme, Mobile Inpatient Care @ Home. This is in line with the Health Ministry's move to increase capacity in home palliative care, and making it more accessible for people who wish to pass on at home. It will also address the resource crunch in hospitals and hospices. Currently, MIC@Home provides acute hospital care at a subsidised rate in a patient's home. Sabrina Ng reports.Â
