A Bangladesh court has delivered a guilty verdict in a trial against ousted Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina for crimes against humanity. The 78-year-old has been sentenced to death, after a months-long tribunal tried her for ordering the crackdown on a student-led uprising last year. The former leader was found guilty on three counts for her role in the killing of at least 1,400 people. Hasina has called the verdict biased and politically motivated. She claimed that the hearing was presided over by an unelected government, and expressed willingness to attend a fresh trial outside her nation. Neha Poonia reports from New Delhi.
