Four crew members killed after US refuelling plane crashes in Iraq

03:46 Min

A US refuelling aircraft — reportedly a Boeing KC-135 — has crashed in western Iraq, killing four US military personnel. The US said the crash was not a result of hostile or friendly fire, but an Iran-backed Iraqi group has claimed responsibility for downing the aircraft. Meanwhile, explosions hit a pro-government rally in Tehran, as Israel launched fresh strikes on crowds gathered to mark Quds Day. Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian and Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi were also present at the event. Olly Barratt reports from Erbil, Iraq.
