Gan Siow Huang on supporting Singaporeans in starting and raising families
The Government is working with employers to make workplaces more conducive for employees with young children, said Minister of State for Manpower and Education Gan Siow Huang. First, by enabling working parents to balance their jobs and caregiving duties through flexible work arrangements and second, by supporting full-time caregivers to return to work when they are ready. Ms Gan spoke in Parliament on Wednesday (Feb 5). She was responding to members of the House during debate on a motion on supporting Singaporeans in starting and raising families. She also addressed members’ concerns about stress in the education system and creating more opportunities for students to develop holistically.
