Goh Hanyan on decline in dengue cases in Singapore

05:35 Min

Singapore saw its lowest level of dengue cases since 2018 last year, due to an absence of major outbreaks locally, an overall global decline and concerted domestic efforts to control the mosquito population. These efforts included Project Wolbachia, which will cover half of all households in Singapore by the end of 2026. Senior Parliamentary Secretary for Sustainability and the Environment Goh Hanyan said this in parliament on Tuesday (Jan 13) in reply to an MP’s question. She also explained the factors behind site selection and pace of expansion of Project Wolbachia.
