Goh Pei Ming on investigations into alleged trafficking of Indonesian babies
Singapore is working closely with its Indonesian counterparts to review the alleged trafficking of Indonesian babies. Minister of State for Social and Family Development Goh Pei Ming, who said this in reply to an MP’s question in parliament on Wednesday (Jan 14), pointed out that his ministry is unable to comment on the number of cases under review at this stage as investigations by Indonesian authorities are underway. It has been engaging affected families to provide more information on the processes and to address their concerns as information becomes available. It is also working closely with the relevant authorities to ensure that the cases are reviewed expeditiously.
