Govt will help Singaporeans tide through rising cost of living even as inflation eases: PM Wong

Prime Minister Lawrence Wong is expecting higher economic growth, and inflation to ease further to pre-COVID levels from now and into next year. This favourable economic outlook will also mean that people could earn higher real incomes. He said this in a video message on helping Singaporeans tide through the rising cost of living. In the long run, Mr Wong said the key to managing the cost of living is making sure Singaporeans continue to enjoy good jobs that fetch better wages. In this way, they will be better off in real terms, with wages going up by more than inflation.
