Grace Fu on moving towards a low-carbon society
The Government has been engaging businesses and the public on the need for and the potential impact of a higher carbon tax, as Singapore reviews its post-2023 carbon tax level and trajectory. The outcome will be announced as part of Budget 2022, said Sustainability and the Environment Minister Grace Fu in Parliament on Wednesday (Jan 12). Responding to a motion raised by MPs on Singapore’s transition towards a low-carbon economy, she also touched on how the country is tapping carbon markets and strengthening corporate accountability.
