Grace Fu on Strategic Food Partnership with New Zealand
The Strategic Food Partnership with New Zealand aims to strengthen cooperation between Singapore and New Zealand in areas such as agrifood, trade and supply chains, regulations and standards, biosecurity and research and innovation. One initiative they are exploring is to expand the existing regionalisation arrangement for highly pathogenic avian influenza to include other significant animal diseases. They are also looking at ways to facilitate greater food trade. Sustainability and the Environment Minister Grace Fu highlighted the benefits and opportunities in reply to an MP’s question in parliament on Wednesday (Jan 14).
