Hany Soh on Building a Healthier SG
Set up an SG Healthy Fund to support projects that champion healthy living and involve the community, similar to the SG Eco Fund for environmental sustainability. MP Hany Soh, who made this suggestion in Parliament on Tuesday (Oct 4), said funding support from the Government and community partners will be vital to kickstart Healthier SG. A steering committee can be set up, comprising representatives from the 3P sectors, retired grassroots advisers, sports athletes, as well as healthy lifestyle experts, to manage this fund and monitor its progress. She said such a committee, with the extensive community experience and networks of its members, can also provide useful guidance to advance the objectives of Healthier SG.
