Housebreaking syndicate: Chinese national nabbed, luxury loot found hidden in forest

A Chinese national believed to be part of a foreign housebreaking syndicate operating in Singapore was arrested earlier this week, after a report was made by a victim. 27-year-old Wu Jinxing was nabbed in the Rail Corridor, near Bukit Sedap Road, while he was allegedly on his way to retrieve a stash of loot hidden nearby. In all, the stolen property that was recovered is estimated to be worth more than $200,000. Items included an Hermes Birkin handbag worth $75,000, a Jaeger-LeCoultre watch valued at about $30,000 and a Hublot watch with an unknown value. Claudia Lim reports.
