Impeachment complaints filed against Philippine President Marcos and VP Duterte
Two impeachment pleas have been levelled against Philippine President Ferdinand Marcos Junior — the first filed against him since he took office in 2022. A House of Representatives panel called the complaints "sufficient in form", making it possible for proceedings to move forward. Both complaints cited his role in the public works scandal and his approval of the 2025 budget that led to the flood corruption scandal.
