Government agencies should look for opportunities to weave green elements into their capital expenditure projects, said MP Jamus Lim. Speaking in Parliament on Monday (Feb 14), he said he is heartened that such efforts are being weaved into Singapore's existing legislation. But do not just look at the tax instrument to effect favourable shifts in corporate behaviour, he said. Subsidies must surely play a part too, he said. He wanted to know how the Government plans to continue financing economic incentives for environmental sustainability.
