Janil Puthucheary on Healthier SG enrolment capacity for polyclinics and GP clinics
The Healthier SG enrolment capacity of each polyclinic is different, depending on its size and existing workload, said Senior Minister of State for Health Janil Puthucheary. The average enrolment capacity is close to 30,000 per polyclinic. Of the 25 polyclinics, 19 polyclinics still have spare capacity to take in more enrollees, while six are reserving their capacities for their regular chronic patients to enrol before deciding if they could take in non-regular or new residents. Dr Janil said residents are encouraged to consider enrolling with other Healthier SG private GP clinics. There is still capacity at the Healthier SG GP clinics to enrol more than 700,000 residents. Dr Janil gave this update in reply to an MP’s questions in Parliament on Wednesday (Feb 7).
