03:33 Min

A total of 112,000 participants have joined the “I Quit” programme since May 2014. The programme does not keep track of which participants are smokers or vapers. Senior Minister of State for Health Janil Puthucheary said this in reply to an MP’s questions in Parliament on Friday (Feb 16). He said the team that runs the programme does not presume that participants currently possess or use vaping products. Participants need not worry that they will be fined or prosecuted for joining or turning up for the sessions, he added. But he stressed that participants who possess or use vaping products will be subject to the same enforcement actions as other offenders.
