Janil Puthucheary on strategy for child and maternal health and well-being
The taskforce on Child and Maternal Health and Well-being is looking into three key thrusts to support women and their children. Firstly, it is focusing on translating evidence-based findings into policies and programmes to address health risks and go further upstream to promote health and well-being. Secondly, it is reviewing service delivery for children and their families. Thirdly, it is reviewing approaches to engage stakeholders and the public to ensure that support efforts stay relevant. The taskforce is finalising its recommendations and will announce the details soon. Senior Minister of State for Health Janil Puthucheary gave this update in reply to an MP's question in Parliament on Wednesday (Jan 12).
