Japan votes: Takaichi promises to deliver on campaign pledges after historic win
Japan's Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi has pledged to deliver on her promises after a historic win by her Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) at polls on Feb 8. The LDP secured 316 seats, while coalition partner Japan Innovation Party won 36, giving the ruling bloc 352 of the 465 seats in the chamber. This is a two-thirds supermajority that gives Ms Takaichi's government the power to override the upper house and push for constitutional amendments. Mayu Yoshida reports from Tokyo.
