Koh Poh Koon on polyclinic waiting times for walk-in patients

06:50 Min

In 2025, the median and 95th-percentile doctor consultation waiting times for walk-in patients at polyclinics were eight minutes and 72 minutes, respectively. The latter likely took place during peak hours, though peak versus off-peak waiting times are not tracked. Senior Minister of State for Health Koh Poh Koon said this in response to parliamentary questions on Thursday (May 7). MP Vikram Nair said the update was an improvement from the last query two years ago. Dr Koh said polyclinics run on an appointment basis as much as possible, but under full capacity to accommodate walk-in patients with acute medical needs.
