Koh Poh Koon on tiered-care mental health model
The current tiered-care mental health model is organised by severity and complexity of mental health needs, not specific diagnosis. It applies to individuals with ADHD and autism who have co-occurring mental health needs. Specialist psychiatric services are also available at public specialist outpatient clinics where eligible patients, including those with neurodevelopmental conditions, can receive means-tested subsidies of up to 70 per cent. Senior Minister of State for Health Koh Poh Koon highlighted these services in reply to an MP’s questions in parliament on Thursday (Feb 12).
