Kuala Lumpur mayor assures city is safe as search for sinkhole victim enters fourth day
Malaysian authorities are determined to continue with their search for a 48-year-old Indian tourist who fell into an eight-metre deep sinkhole in Kuala Lumpur on Friday. The head of the Dang Wangi police station said, for now, Malaysia won’t need help from other countries. He is confident that the Malaysian authorities will be able to handle the search operation themselves. 165 officers from multiple agencies -- including the police, fire and rescue department, as well as the KL city council -- are involved in the search.
