Lawrence Wong on MOE review of height-based outdoor education
The Ministry of Education (MOE) is reviewing height-based outdoor education, amid an ongoing investigation into the death of a student at an adventure activity in SAFRA Yishun earlier in February. All such activities remain suspended. Education Minister Lawrence Wong gave this update in Parliament on Wednesday (Feb 24) in reply to an MP's question. He said MOE will share its findings and recommendations when the review is completed. He also said MOE is unable to comment on the specifics of the incident as the cause of death is still being investigated by the police.
