About the show:

From its inception in 1937 to 2017, Caldecott Broadcast Centre was the home of  Singapore broadcasting. It also bore witness to many milestones in the country’s history.

This documentary celebrates these milestones in Singapore’s broadcasting history, narrated by artistes, news anchors, TV directors, and others who had worked at Caldecott. The iconic institution became their second home and they became an integral part of its history.

Actress Zoe Tay recalls working 363 days a year on Chinese dramas at one point in her career at Caldecott. Susan Ng, host of 1978' Talentime, proclaims Caldecott as a “magic kingdom”. TV Producer S Chandra Mohan recounts how he instructed his cameraman to zoom in when Lee Kuan Yew cried on national TV. Executive Producer Ng Say Yong recalls how he based the stories of a hit English drama on his own experiences.

These, and many other stories capture the zeitgeist of a nation finding its place in the world.
