Louis Ng on Retirement and Re-employment (Amendment) Bill and Central Provident Fund (Amendment) Bill
In Parliament on Monday (Nov 1), MP Louis Ng asked about a proposed reimbursement of funeral expenses upon the death of a CPF member who had not made a nomination. He wanted to know if guidelines could be published on the amount of funeral expenses the Public Trustee would typically agree to defray, and if the process of informing beneficiaries of their nomination and CPF funds available could be expedited. Mr Ng also asked if the Manpower Ministry has plans to apply differentiated retirement and re-employment ages to workers in different sectors.
