Macron in Vietnam: Paris, Hanoi sign deals covering Airbus planes, satellites and more
The French president has wrapped up his first day of talks in Vietnam. Emmanuel Macron has made it clear that France and the European Union are ready to step up to the plate as reliable partners to Southeast Asian economies. Fourteen deals were signed, spanning nuclear energy, railways, satellites and vaccines. An Airbus pact was also agreed upon, with budget airline Vietjet agreeing to purchase 20 aircraft.
