Maliki Osman on teacher counsellors in schools
There are close to 800 teacher counsellors deployed in schools today and they supplement counselling support by taking on less complex cases or support programmes that promote student well-being. They also undergo relevant training such as a part-time Certificate in School Counselling course, as well as other short courses to better support students. Second Minister for Education Maliki Osman said this in reply to an MP’s questions in Parliament on Monday (Feb 26).
