Manpower Minister lauds "unsung heroes" working during Chinese New Year holidays
Manpower Minister Tan See Leng has described people working over the Chinese New Year period as "unsung heroes". At least one retail chain has deployed an extra 500 staff at its stores to ensure seamless operations amid longer operating hours and expected higher footfall. Workers at transport nodes are also sacrificing their holidays, just so commuters can enjoy their celebrations. Nikhil Khattar spoke with them to find out more.
