Motion: Sharael Taha on reinforcing Singapore’s position as a global transport hub
Singapore must create new sources of competitive advantage to reinforce its position as a leading aviation, maritime and logistics hub, said MP Sharael Taha. He spoke on four areas - strengthening Singapore’s international leadership by shaping global standards; bolstering regional integration to deepen connectivity and multiply ASEAN’s collective competitiveness; harnessing frontier technologies and AI to transform Singapore from a trusted transport hub into a trusted orchestrator of intelligent, multimodal transport and logistics flows; and treating transport not just as infrastructure but as a national economic strategy.
