MSF's Chia Choong Yeen on importance of early intervention in tackling rough sleeping
In a single night count in 2025, there were nearly 500 rough sleepers in Singapore, about 30 less than a similar count in 2022. The Social and Family Development Ministry has also set aside nearly half a million dollars to tackle underlying causes. Ms Chia Choong Yeen, Director of Residential Support and Licensing Division at the MSF, shared more about the importance of early intervention, as well as the ministry's immediate priorities.
