Muhammad Faishal Ibrahim on using social media for anti-drug messages
The use of social media has exposed youths to more liberal drug views and lifestyles, making it easier for people to procure drugs, said Minister of State for Home Affairs Muhammad Faishal Ibrahim. The Central Narcotics Bureau (CNB) has therefore been actively using social media platforms to reach out to youths to educate them on the harms of drug abuse, he said. Replying to an MP's question in Parliament on Tuesday (Feb 7), he highlighted the efforts of CNB to ensure that its anti-drug messages and campaigns are "relatable" to youths. These include the use of videos, news stories and infographics to get the message across.
