NDR 2021: Singapore’s manpower ministry studying ways to help delivery workers
In his National Day Rally speech on Sunday (Aug 29), PM Lee Hsien Loong said he is especially concerned about delivery workers, as they “lack the basic job protection that most employees have, like workplace injury compensation, union representation and employer CPF”. “We must address the issues to give these workers more secure futures,” he said, adding that Singapore’s Manpower Ministry will study the issues facing them.
