New e-sports national training centre to groom local pro gamers in the works

A new national training centre for gamers in Singapore, to groom budding talents towards becoming professional e-sports athletes. Plus, collaborations with regional counterparts to create qualification pathways towards major regional games. These are part of the plans by the country's e-sports association to boost the local gamer scene, amid the government's move to formally recognise gaming as a sport. Nadine Yeam reports.
