Nursing mums need more lactation rooms, support at the workplace: Louis Ng
MP Louis Ng has asked the government to require companies to provide more lactation rooms at workplaces based on gross floor areas. In an adjournment motion, he cited mothers who have to pump in toilets, or squeeze out time from their lunch hour to do so. Second Minister for National Development Indranee Rajah said measures have been introduced to support breastfeeding mums, including expanding an accessibility code for buildings to accommodate their needs.
