18:48 Min

Singapore has taken a cautious “step down but not dismantle” posture on COVID-19 measures as the pandemic stabilises. However, it will once again step up vaccination-differentiated safe management measures and reactivate TraceTogether and SafeEntry “if the situation requires”, said Health Minister Ong Ye Kung. Responding to Parliamentary questions on Monday (May 9), Mr Ong said it is not possible to specify “transparent and clear triggering points” amid the “fog of war” of the pandemic crisis. He also spoke in detail about a review of the DORSCON framework and the impending release of a special report on excess deaths in Singapore during the pandemic.
