Parliament votes on motions regarding Committee of Privileges report

On Tuesday (Feb 15), Parliament voted on recommendations by the Committee of Privileges (COP) looking into a lie told by former Workers’ Party MP Raeesah Khan in the House. The COP had proposed that Ms Khan be fined S$35,000, and that WP chief Pritam Singh and vice-chair Muhamad Faisal Abdul Manap be referred to the Public Prosecutor for possible criminal proceedings for their roles in the affair. Both motions were passed.
