Poh Li San on Singapore Sports Council (Amendment) Bill
Singapore’s sporting landscape has grown significantly, especially in the past decade, and with substantial government funding going into infrastructure and programme development, strong leadership will be needed from the SportSG board, said MP Poh Li San. She said expanding the board from 15 to 25 members should bring a greater diversity of professional backgrounds and wider industry networks to the table. Apart from the number of members, term limits could be considered, she added. Ms Poh spoke in parliament on Tuesday (Jan 13).
