Prabowo touts Indonesia's economic growth, strategic policies in State of the Nation address
Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto has touted the strongest growth for H1 in more than a decade. He sees GDP expansion hitting 6% this year, despite global uncertainty. During Mr Prabowo's annual State of the Nation Address, he stressed that gains must translate into more jobs and higher living standards. He added that his administration had implemented 121 strategic policies over 21 months — equivalent to roughly one new policy every five days since taking office in October 2024.
