Protests erupt across Israel as hostage deaths build pressure for ceasefire deal

05:50 Min

Thousands have taken to the streets across Israel, as anger and frustration mounts over the deaths of six hostages in Gaza. Protesters have accused Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his government of not doing enough to secure a ceasefire deal that would free the remaining captives. Over the weekend, the bodies of six hostages were recovered from a tunnel in the southern Gaza city of Rafah. Israel's labour court has ordered an end to the nationwide strike, which brought parts of the country to a standstill. Sarah Coates reports from Tel Aviv.
