Rahayu Mahzam on billing delays at public healthcare institutions affecting insurance claims
The Ministry of Health is aware of a few cases where billing delays at the National Cancer Centre Singapore (NCCS) have resulted in patients facing difficulty in making insurance claims. NCCS has provided affected policyholders with letters to their insurers to explain the delay in claims submission. Minister of State for Health Rahayu Mahzam said this in Parliament on Wednesday (Jan 8) in reply to an MP’s question. She also said that policyholders who still face issues with the claims submission after sharing NCCS’ letter with their insurers may approach NCCS for more support.
