Rahayu Mahzam on help in medical fees for non-Singaporean relatives or foreign spouses
The majority of foreign spouses with Singapore citizen children are Permanent Residents or holders of Long-Term Visit Pass Plus. They are eligible for healthcare subsidies in public healthcare institutions. The Ministry of Health does receive appeals regarding financing for healthcare costs incurred by foreign spouses or relatives of Singapore citizens and assesses them on a case-by-case basis, based on individual circumstances. Minister of State for Health Rahayu Mahzam said this in reply to MPs' questions in parliament on Tuesday (Apr 8).
